Japanese Style Annex/Garden

The Japanese-Style Annex is open to visitors in the form of guided tours, during which a guide leads visitors through each room. Visitors can also view the Garden (Front Garden and Main Garden).

【Admission Fees】

Adults: 1,800 yen, University students: 1,000 yen, Junior and senior high school students: 500 yen
※Elementary school students and younger are not permitted to visit.
※University students and junior and senior high school students are required to bring their student ID or student handbook.
※Visitors holding a valid Physical Disability Certificate, Rehabilitation Certificate, Mental Disability Health and Welfare Certificate, War Injury and Sickness Certificate, or Atomic Bomb Survivor’s Health Certificate, as well as one accompanying person, are exempt from the admission fee. Please present the relevant certificate at the reception desk on the day of your visit.
※The Japanese-Style Annex is not wheelchair accessible due to its limited space and difficulty of movement.

【Visiting Procedure】

◆Advance Reservation Required【First-Come, First-Served】
Please access the 「General Public Visit Application System」, enter the required information, and submit your application.

(1)Application period: Please check the Public Opening Schedule.
(2)Number of applicants: 1–20 people
(3)Visitor pass: After completing your application, a visitor pass will be sent to you by email. Please present the visitor pass at the reception desk and be careful not to delete the email containing it.

※The Japanese-Style Annex is not wheelchair accessible due to its limited space and difficulty of movement.
※If there are available spaces for the Japanese-Style Annex during certain time slots, same-day applications may be accepted at the reception desk. If you wish to visit, please ask a staff member for details.
※Admission may be restricted depending on the level of congestion.
※The entrance is the West Gate (on the Gakushuin Primary School side). Re-entry is not permitted.
※Please purchase your admission ticket after undergoing the reception inspection (inspection of baggage, personal belongings, etc.).
※Please check the Important Information before your visit.

【Japanese-Style Annex Tour Start Times】

10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:00, 13:30, 14:00, 14:30, 15:00 (10 tours in total)
※The 15:00 tour on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays is an English guided tour. To apply for the English guided tour, please access the 「General Public Visit Application System」, enter the required information, and submit your application.
※On the day of your visit, please enter through the West Gate and complete reception procedures at least 30 minutes before the tour starts.
