For Those Who Wish to Pay a Visit The Public Opening of the State Guest House, Akasaka Palace

The State Guest House, Akasaka Palace opens to the general public unless its main activities of welcoming dignitaries from abroad are interrupted. To pay a visit to us, you can make an advance reservation through this application page, or sign at the reception on the day of your visit without an advance reservation.

  • When it is crowded, those who made advance reservations will be preferentially admitted.
  • In the event of receiving distinguished guests at short notice, the scheduled public opening may be cancelled; please check the following latest Public Opening Calendar before your visit. We will announce a change of the schedule on Twitter as well.

Summary of Public Opening

The scope of the facilities to be opened to the public is (1) Main Building/Garden (Main Garden and Front Garden), (2) Japanese Style Annex/Main Building/Garden, (3) Japanese Style Annex/Garden, and (4) Garden. The details are as described below:

(1) Main Building/Garden
(Main Garden and Front Garden)

(Advance reservations are available for groups of 20 or more)

Audio guides are provided for the main building (200 yen each). There is no guided tour service for the main building and garden.

Visits to the Japanese Style Annex are led by a specialist tour guide. Audio guides are provided for the main building (200 yen each). There is no guided tour service for the main building and garden.
