【Estimated Tour Duration】

Standard: Approximately 2 hours to 2 hours and 30 minutes
Premium: Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to 3 hours

【Admission Fees】

Standard:
Adults: 2,000 yen; University students: 1,500 yen; Junior and senior high school students: 700 yen
※Elementary school students and younger are not permitted to participate in this tour.
※When paying the admission fee, you may choose whether or not to visit the Main Building (no separate advance reservation is required).
※University students and junior/senior high school students are requested to bring a student ID card or student handbook.
※Admission fees are waived for holders of a valid Physical Disability Certificate, Rehabilitation Certificate, Mental Disability Health and Welfare Certificate, War Injury or Sickness Certificate, or Atomic Bomb Survivor’s Health Certificate, as well as one accompanying person. Please present the relevant certificate at reception on the day of your visit.

 

Premium:
In addition to the admission fees above, a premium tour route fee of 400 yen applies to all visitors.
※Elementary school students and younger, holders of a valid Physical Disability Certificate, Rehabilitation Certificate, Mental Disability Health and Welfare Certificate, War Injury or Sickness Certificate, or Atomic Bomb Survivor’s Health Certificate, as well as one accompanying person, are exempt from the premium tour route fee. However, in such cases, the official guidebook and other materials will not be provided. If you would like to receive these materials, please pay the premium tour route fee separately.

【How to Visit】

○Main Building
◆Individual visitors (19 people or fewer)
Advance reservations are not required.

◆Groups (20 people or more)
Advance reservations are required and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Please access the “Public Opening Application System,” enter the required information, and submit your application. Visitors who arrive without an advance reservation will not be able to tour the facility.
(1)Application reception date and time: Please check the public opening schedule.
(2)Number of people per application: 20 to 50 people
(3)Capacity: 200 people per time slot (60 minutes)
(4)Sending of visitor passes: After your application is completed, visitor passes will be sent by email. As the visitor pass must be presented at reception, please be careful not to delete the email containing it.

 

○Japanese-style Annex
◆Advance reservation required【first-come, first-served】
Please access the “Public Opening Application System,” enter the required information, and submit your application.
(1)Application reception date and time: Please check the public opening schedule.
(2)Number of people per application: 1 to 20 people (capacity of 20 people per session)
(3)Sending of visitor passes: After your application is completed, visitor passes will be sent by email. As the visitor pass must be presented at reception, please be careful not to delete it.

※Wheelchairs cannot be used in the Japanese-style Annex because the building is narrow and difficult to move around in.
※If there are available spaces for the Japanese-style Annex, visitors may register at reception on the day of the visit.
※Entry may be restricted depending on crowd conditions.
※Please enter through the West Gate (on the Gakushuin Primary School side). Re-entry is not permitted.
※Please purchase your admission ticket after the reception inspection, including checks of bags and personal belongings.
※Entry to the Main Building is permitted only once. Re-entry after leaving is not permitted.
※After entering the Main Building, ticket type changes or refunds are not available (from Premium to Standard or from Standard to Premium).
※When entering the building and even after entering, there may be points where staff check admission tickets. Please keep your admission ticket with you at all times while visiting the Main Building.
※Before your visit, please check the important notes.

【Opening Hours】

○Main Building

Standard: 10:00~17:00 (last admission at 16:00)
Premium: 10:00~17:00 (last admission at 15:30)

○Garden
10:00~17:00 (last admission at 16:30)

【Japanese-style Annex Tour Start Times】

10:30、11:00、11:30、12:00、12:30、13:00、13:30、14:00、14:30、15:00 (10 sessions in total)
※The 15:00 session on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays is an English guided tour. (Applications for the English guided tour are available here.)
※On the day of your visit, please enter through the West Gate and complete reception procedures at least 30 minutes before the tour starts.
※You may visit the Main Building and Garden before or after the tour. (Please note that if you participate in the session starting at 15:00, you will not be able to visit the Main Building after the tour.)

Cautionary Notes

  • ● In the event of receiving distinguished guests at short notice, the scheduled public opening may be suddenly cancelled; please check the latest Public Opening Schedule before your visit. We will announce a change of the schedule on X as well.
  • ● Parking is prohibited near the West Gate. Please do not park buses, taxis, or other vehicles there.
  • ● Visitors under the influence of alcohol may be refused for reasons of the facility’s protection.
