Ms. TAKAICHI Sanae, Prime Minister of Japan welcomed H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, and Ms. Brigitte Macron who paid an Official Visit to Japan at the State Guest House, Akasaka Palace. After their arrival, a cherry‑blossom viewing was held as part of the welcoming program. As the weather was rainy on the day, they were served tea and hanami dango in the salon, and viewed the cherry trees in full bloom in the main garden from the terrace. Following a salute and guard of honor ceremony, the two leaders held a summit meeting. They then held a signing ceremony and a joint press announcement. Finally, they held a working dinner.
