You can explore Kyoto State Guest House at your own pace during opening hours, using the official Kyoto State Guest House app for audio, text, and video commentary. Please note that no guide accompanies the tour.

Admission Fees

Adults: 1,500 yen
University Students: 1,000 yen
Middle/High School Students (Ages 13+): 500 yen
Children aged 12 and younger, including toddlers and infants, will not be admitted.
Eligible students must present a valid ID on the day of their visit to receive the student discount.

How to Visit

1. You can visit without a reservation. Please come to the Seiwain Rest House for admission.
2. Purchase your admission ticket and store your personal belongings at the Seiwain Rest House → Go through a security check at the West Gate of Kyoto State Guest House → Enter Kyoto State Guest House. (During busy periods, there may be a wait before entry.)
3. The official Kyoto State Guest House app is available in Japanese, English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, French, Spanish, and German.
   You can download the app to your smartphone in advance. Tablets preloaded with the app are also available free of charge during your visit. Please note that availability is limited.
4. Please review the Visitor Rules & Regulations before your visit.

Opening Hours

10:00 AM–5:00 PM (last admission at 4:00 PM)
We are closed on Wednesdays. If Wednesday falls on a national holiday, we will be closed on the following weekday.

Important Notices

1. Visitors showing symptoms such as cough, fever, shortness of breath, or severe fatigue will not be permitted to enter.
2. Some of our staff may wear masks. We appreciate your understanding.
