Public Opening

Q1When are you closed?: A1. We are closed on Wednesdays. If Wednesday falls on a public holiday, we will be closed on the following weekday. The public opening schedule may change due to official engagements or operational reasons. Please check the Important Notices and Public Opening Schedule on our website for any updates before visiting.
Q2Is a self-guided tour available?: A2. We only offer guided tours at the moment. For more information, please refer to our About Visiting page.
Q3When will the schedule for future public openings be available?: A3. The schedule for public openings is updated one to two months in advance on the Public Opening Schedule page.
Q4Do I need to make a reservation ahead of time for a visit?: A4. Reservations are recommended. For those without reservations, same-day entry slips with remaining capacity will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis at the Seiwain Rest House. Availability is subject to current reservations, and entry cannot be guaranteed.
Q5When do online reservations open?: A5. Online reservations become available one to two months in advance on a first-come, first-served basis. The release date for the next public opening schedule will be announced at the bottom of the Public Opening Schedule page.
Q6Are there other ways to make a reservation besides the website?: A6. All reservations must be made through our website. We do not accept reservations by phone, fax, or mail.
Q7Are same-day entry slips assigned specific times for visits?: A7. Same-day entry slips do specify a meeting time for the guided tour. Upon receiving a slip, you can choose your preferred time slot from the available guided tours.
Q8What is the maximum number of people per group that a same-day entry slip can cover?: A8. A same-day entry slip can cover up to 8 people per group, subject to availability in the guided tour.
Q9How can I confirm the status of my reservation?: A9. You can view your reservation status by accessing the Public Opening Reservation System on our website. Click on “Cancel/Change Application” to go to the login screen. Please have your confirmation number, email address, and date of birth ready to log in.
