Kyoto State Guest House will offer its autumn evening openings from Thursday, November 28, to Tuesday, December 3. During this period, three additional guided tours after sunset will be offered each day (last entry at 6:00 PM).
The night scenery, with the soft glow filtering through the shoji sliding screens that evoke large paper lanterns and the elegant wall tapestry mirrored in the pond, creates a mystical atmosphere. Immerse yourself in the enchanting late autumn scenery of Kyoto State Guest House during the peaceful evening hours.
Whether you’re visiting Kyoto or heading home from work or school, we warmly invite you to join us for these special evening tours during this beautiful season of autumn foliage.

Admission Fees | Adults:2,000 yen, University Students:1,500 yen, Middle/High School Students (Ages 13+):700 yen * Children aged 12 or younger will not be admitted. * Eligible students must present a valid student ID on the day of their visit to receive the student discount. |
Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis via our Public Opening Reservation System until 12:00 PM the day before each tour.
– Reservations for November open on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
– Reservations for December open on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
Same-day entry slips for guided tours that have not reached capacity through advance reservations will be available at the Seiwain Rest House for those without reservations
Important Notes・Visitors showing symptoms such as cough, fever, shortness of breath, or severe fatigue will not be permitted to
join the tour.
