Many of the honored guests who have stayed at Kyoto State Guest House have left behind messages regarding their impressions of the traditionally Japanese hospitality they received, and the traditional arts and craftsmanship they experienced during their stay. To Kyoto State Guest House, these messages are considered an irreplaceable part of its heritage, as well as a valuable document demonstrating Japan’s diplomacy and friendship with other nations. On this page, you can see a selection of those signatures and messages, permission to post which has been obtained from their respective countries, together with photos from the time of these visits.
