Since it’s opening in 1974, the State Guest House Akasaka Palace has hosted distinguished overnight guests from countries all over the world. During their stays, these guests left their signatures or messages in the Guest Book. This Guest Book is a part of the history of the State Guest House, and is an irreplaceable part of its heritage demonstrating the progression of Japan’s diplomacy. On this page, you can see a selection of those signatures and messages, permission to post which has been obtained from their respective countries, together with photos from the time of these visits.
